April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month #SAAPM

Each day I will tweet a book that has helped me. 30 books in 30 days. Tell me the books that you would recommend in the comments! Here are my first three.

S. by Slavenka Drakulic

The Lovely Bones and Lucky by Alice Sebold.

The Wolf Road

by Beth Lewis

I loved this book. Here  are some of my favorite quotes:

“Memories ain’t no one’s friend. They show you all the good things you had, all the good things you lost, and don’t let you forget any of the bad shit in between.”

“Live your life broken or take the moments of wholeness where you can.”

“Always thought I wanted the lonesome life. People is trouble. Folk have darkness in them what the wild don’t, and that scared me silly.”

I love the new  trend on twitter #Threefictionalcharacters where someone chooses three characters from fiction or movies that best represent them. I picked four, is that ok? Please tell me your three or four in the comments!

I am: Lizzie from Pride and Prejudice, Badger from The Wind in the Willows, princess Giselle from Enchanted, and Tracy Flick from Election

Hello Lovelies! There is a new Van Gogh book out this week,

Van Gogh’s Ear, by Bernadette Murphy.

It’s supposed to have some new information and of course I can’t wait to read it!

Have you heard that you can stay a night in a room modeled after Van Gogh’s famous painting of his bedroom in Arles?

The Art Institute of Chicago offers a night’s stay in this room. You can read an article here.

Here are the rooms side by side.

The famous painting, Bedroom at Arles on the left. The recreated room on the right.

I so want to stay there!! If you have, please let me know.
